Tabco Ranked in “Top 50 PSDA Member Distributors” Listing

Coming in at #29 in the top 50 ranking is accomplishment for small business.

Terre Haute, IN August 19, 2011:  Just announced in the August edition of Print Solutions magazine, Tabco comes in #29 in the “Top 50 PSDA Member Distributors” listing.  This listing is done each year by the PSDA and while Tabco has been on the list for many years, being ranked #29 is their highest ranking yet.

Tabco was started as a “business forms” printing company in 1977 by Thomas Bilyeu.  Since its inception Tabco has also added many other areas to its products and services list, including promotional products, web design, and marketing solutions.  While Thomas Bilyeu still takes an active role in Tabco, the company is run on a daily basis by Bilyeu’s sons, Brad Bilyeu (President) and Kris Bilyeu (Vice President.)

The organization awarding Tabco with a spot in the “Top 50 “ list is the PSDA, Print Services & Distribution Association.  This association “is comprised of the largest network of print distributors and trade printers aiding in building better partnerships to advance individual businesses as well as the industry as a whole.” (PSDA).  The PSDA announces a “Top 50 Member Distributors” list each year, as well as a list for non-member distributors.

In June, distributors (PSDA members as well as non-members) received surveys from the PSDA requesting sales numbers for 2010 and 2009 as well as sales data for categories such as “Promotional Products” and “Labels and Tags.” Open-ended questions about the industry and business were also asked to help give PSDA a more accurate picture of the state of the industry.   The data from these surveys was then used to determine each company’s ranking and the listing was just published in the August edition of “Print Solutions” magazine.

“We are honored to be listed among the top in the industry.  The fact that we have continued to grow in the current economic atmosphere is quite an accomplishment for any business.  It is a testament to our employees and their ability to meet our customers’ needs in an ever changing technological business climate,” said Kris Bilyeu, VP of Tabco, after receiving the news that Tabco was ranked #29 in this year’s listing.  “We plan to continue to grow and build our business relationships that we have fostered over the past 34 years. Continuing to invest in technology and people will provide our clients with top notch product and customer service.  Tabco aims to remain one of the top suppliers in our industry.”
